Labor & Postpartum Doulas Serving Boulder County Families

Hello my name is Sarah Venzara! I am a mother, student midwife, educator and doula with over 15 years of labor and postpartum care experience.

This year I founded “Doula At Your Door Inc.” with the intention of empowering mothers to use their deep innate abilities as a guide for parenting decisions and for postpartum mothers to feel held, safe, and nourished during this new season of life. We are currently offering educational, emotional, and physical support for labor and birth. For postpartum care I provide: basic breastfeeding support, newborn care, birth processing, “closing of the bones” ceremonies, and warming treatments (sitz baths, herbal baths, yoni steams, moxibustion) to ensure rest and recovery. I also mentor a team of student doulas who can help with other tasks such as laundry, dishes, light housework, pet care, sibling care, etc.

Nourishing Postpartum Meals Delivered to Your Door

In addition to labor and postpartum doula services we also cook and deliver nourishing meals prepared specifically with the postpartum mother and newborn in mind. Our meals include foods known to aid in digestion, build blood, assist in lactation and support mothers’ energy in the most immediate postpartum time.

All our food is gluten-free and made from scratch in a licensed commercial kitchen in Longmont using only organic ingredients, mostly local produce, grass-fed beef, pasture-raised eggs, poultry, and pork. We are happy to accommodate most food allergies, intolerances, and preferences.

Hi, this is Sarah’s husband, Nathan.

Besides being the cook for Doula At Your Door (and in my home for the last 13 years) I spent many years in the restaurant industry, including 8 years managing and building a small restaurant chain where I put my creativity to use developing menus as well as cooking and organizing large and small catering events.

Since our primary focus is serving postpartum families we take food safety serious. I recently renewed my food safety manager certificate and we cook everything out of a county inspected commercial kitchen in Longmont.

Fun fact: we used to live and work on an organic vegetable farm so eating local is near and dear to our hearts. Our fridge at home is always full with seasonal local produce from our CSA and the farmers market and that’s exactly how we approach our postpartum meals. We’re so grateful for the abundance of organic farms growing nutritious food right here in Longmont.

I’m grateful to put my passion for cooking to work serving mothers and families along side my wife. We’d love to cook for your family! Visit to place your order for Mother’s Day brunch and sign up for our email list to get our new menus straight to your inbox every week.
